vivoPharm’s Vice President Awarded 2010 Bioscience Young Achiever

The 2010 BioSA Bioscience Achievement Awards has recognised vivoPharm’s
Vice President Operations and Marketing, Fiona Khor for outstanding
contributions to the bioscience sector in South Australia by awarding her the
Young Achiever Award 2010.

Bio Innovation SA Chief Executive Officer Dr Jurgen Michaelis called Khor “the
rising star”.

Khor has played a leading role in managing and directing more than 700
animal studies at Adelaide-based vivoPharm and has helped the company to
expand its markets both nationally and internationally.

“I love the company I work for and I love this industry. I look forward to being part
of vivoPharm as it continues to move on to even bigger and better things,” she
said, on receiving her award.

Her commitment to vivoPharm has helped the company to become a driving
force to gain international recognition as a leading supplier of integrated
preclinical services to the bioscience and pharmaceutical industries.

The awards were presented yesterday by Bio Innovation SA chairman Dennis
Mutton at the BioSA 48th Networking Forum, held at The Stamford Grand,
Glenelg, South Australia.

Vice President, Operations and Marketing

Khor completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Adelaide, with majors in Anatomy and Physiology, and completed her Honours degree in the Department of Anatomical Science. She worked at the Institute of Medical and Veterinary Science in the Department of Haematology in both the Haemapoiesis Expansion Laboratory and the Mesenchymal Stem Cell Laboratory prior to joining vivoPharm in 2006. In her role at vivoPharm she has managed and participated as study director and project manager in over 700 animal studies. Her roles has been to manage study timelines, materials and resources and develop and improve procedural and operational tasks in both the Department of in vivo Pharmacology and in vitro Pharmacology.
